Heath Ledger has wonderfully performed the role of an ultimate villain in an ultimate Crime movie - The Dark Knight. His performance will never be forgotten and neither will performance of other great actors such as Morgan Freeman in Shawshank Redemption, Samuel Jackson in Pulp Fiction and Marlon Brando in The Godfather. Crime movies have villains with certain charisma to them. We know they are the bad guys and we resent them for their crimes yet we are secretly rooting for them every step of the plot. Perhaps it's the power that's associated with ruthless villains that attracts the hungry nature of the human mind. The villains appear to be pure evil with nothing but the worst intentions but the movie writers usually disguise a suffering individual with horrible a past who have been mistreated by society, thus allowing the viewers to give some sympathy to the character.
