Edward Scissorhands (1990)

Storyline:

In a castle high on top of a hill lives an inventor’s greatest creation – Edward, a near-complete person. The creator died before he could finish Edward’s hands; instead, Edward is left with metal scissors for hands. Since then, Edward has lived alone, until a kind lady called Peg discovers Edward and welcomes him into her home. At first, everyone welcomes Edward into the community, but soon things begin to take a change for the worse.

   Hauntingly dark fairy tale from Tim Burton back before Johnny Depp started recycling Captain Jack Sparrow for every weirdo role he played. Soundtrack by Danny Elfman, before he started recyling the ‘creepy child chorus’ for every single soundtrack. So much innocence and beauty here that makes it a true classic.

   A beautiful dark fantasy movie. One of the better Tim Burton/Johnny Depp movies. The unique story & stunning visuals makes this a movie you can watch again & again. Definitely a masterpiece in my book.

   Johnny Depp is fantastic in this movie. The special effects are wonderful and the story is charming. One of my favorites and the one that got me hooked on Tim Burton.
